Nigerian Private Visa

Requirements:

  1. Visa Application Form thoroughly completed online or by hand
  2. One Passport-size photo – 2” x 2”, white background, sharp quality, no glasses or accessories, taken in the last 6 months.
  3. Original passport - signed, valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from Russia, with two blank visa-designated pages side-by-side.
  4. A copy of round-trip flight itinerary. If accompanied by the host, a copy of the host’s flight itinerary is also required
  5. An invitation letter from the host, signed and dated
  6. A copy of the host’s valid Nigerian passport.
  7. Evidence of funds to cover your stay in Nigeria. A copy of the most recent bank statement with a balance of at least 500 USD is expected. If your host is sponsoring your trip, a copy of their bank statement is required.
  8. For non-US citizens – photocopies of both sides of permanent resident card, long-term US visa and/or document(s) showing current legal status in the US. Please note that if you hold dual citizenship (that of the US and another country), you must use your US passport when applying in the US.
  9. Nigerian citizens with expired Nigerian passports applying for a Nigerian visa with their US passport must include a photocopy of their expired Nigerian passport.
  10. For minor applicants, the following documents are to be enclosed:
    • A photocopy of the birth certificate
    • Letters of consent from both parents (separate by each parent) - typed, signed, dated, notarized. Each letter must state that the lawful custodial parent and/or non-custodial parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the child give their consent for the minor to travel with the specified accompanying person to Nigeria. The letter must be addressed to the Consulate of Nigeria, Atlanta.
    • Photocopies of both parents' valid US passports (foldout of bio data pages)
    • If parents are Nigerian nationals, copies of their Nigerian (expired or unexpired) passports (besides US passports)
    • A copy of a bank statement from at least one parent with a balance of at least $500

Visa validity and number of entries are determined by the consulate; most visas are issued with 2 to 5 year validity allowing multiple entries.
