Student visas are issued to applicants planning to attend Chinese educational establishments

Requirements:
- Visa Application Form thoroughly completed online or by hand using our questionnaire.
- One Passport-size photo – 2” x 2”, white background, sharp quality, no glasses or accessories, taken in the last 6 months.
- Original passport - signed, valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from China, with two blank visa-designated pages side-by-side.
- Proof of residency - photocopy of both sides of driver's license or recent utility bill with applicant's name and address on it.
- Copies of previously-issued Chinese visas (if applicable) or a written explanation why those are unavailable (in case a previous passport was lost, for example)
- A Photocopy or the original of Confirmation Form for Study in China (Form JW201 or Form JW202)
- Photocopy of the Admission Letter issued by the educational establishment in China
- For those planning to attend high school in China - Photocopy or the original of Confirmation Form for Elementary Stage Students Study in China
- For those planning to study in China for less than 6 months – a photocopy or the original of Information Form for Foreign Students' Short-term Visit (Form DQ, if available)
- For minor applicants – photocopies of birth certificate and both parents’ passports
- For non-US citizens – photocopies of both sides of permanent resident card, long-term US visa and/or document(s) showing current legal status on the US.
- For those born to Chinese parents – photocopies of birth certificate, both parents’ Chinese passports and Chinese IDs, US Naturalization certificates and US passports (if US citizens)
- For former Chinese citizens - photocopies of birth certificate, previously-issued Chinese passport(s) and Chinese IDs, US Naturalization certificate
