China Tourist Visa

About Chinese tourist (L) visa:

Tourist visas are issued to applicants who intend to visit China as tourists.

Requirements:

  1. Visa Application Form thoroughly completed online or by hand using our questionnaire.
  2. One Passport-size photo – 2” x 2”, white background, sharp quality, no glasses or accessories, taken in the last 6 months.
  3. Original passport - signed, valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from China, with two blank visa-designated pages side-by-side.
  4. Proof of residency - photocopy of both sides of driver's license or recent utility bill with applicant's name and address on it.
  5. Copies of previously-issued Chinese visas (if applicable) or a written explanation why those are unavailable (in case a previous passport was lost, for example)
  6. A copy of hotel booking and airline itinerary or a letter of invitation from a Chinese travel agency or a Chinese national (along with copies of that Chinese national's passport, local ID and residency permit). A sample of the invitation letter can be used.
  7. For minor applicants – photocopies of birth certificate and both parents’ passports
  8. For non-US citizens – photocopies of both sides of permanent resident card, long-term US visa and/or document(s) showing current legal status on the US.
  9. For those born to Chinese parents – photocopies of birth certificate, both parents’ Chinese passports and Chinese IDs, US Naturalization certificates and US passports (if US citizens)
  10. For former Chinese citizens - photocopies of birth certificate, previously-issued Chinese passport(s) and Chinese IDs, US Naturalization certificate
